The Two Types of Barter

1 > Person to Person - a.k.a Direct Swaps
These trades are the one true form of bartering. They can be either personally initiated, found on message boards, or in something like our free Barter Exchange Directory.

But the word barter has taken on a new meaning for some.

2 > Using a third party Barter Exchange Service
usually means using some form of currency to allow more dynamic exchange between parties. Although this is technically not barter, it is very much so in effect. By joining a barter exchange, a business can acquire what is needed and/or wanted without spending "cash".

For best results, you should consider using both methods.
